This policy explains what personal information English Track CELBAN (the website and the mobile/tablet app) collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, optional phone number and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form).
• Study details: your CELBAN goals and planned test date.
• Your learning activity: lessons completed, quiz and test answers, estimated levels, writing you submit, and feedback from your tutor.
• Voice recordings: recordings you make for Speaking practice and practice tests. We only use the microphone when you press Record.
• Technical data: a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and your sign-in times. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To provide the course, mark your work, show your progress and issue your certificate.
• So English Track tutors can give you feedback on your Writing and Speaking.
• To contact you about your course and your account.

We do not sell your personal information, share it with advertisers, or use your recordings for any purpose other than your tutor’s feedback.

Who can see it

Only you and authorised NurseTrack Inc. staff (tutors and administrators). Your information is stored with our secure cloud hosting provider, which may be located outside Canada; it is protected in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and the provider may only process it on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while you are enrolled and for up to 24 months afterwards so you can return to your results, unless you delete it sooner.

Your choices and rights

• Access and correction: update your details in Profile, or ask us for a copy of your information.
• Delete your account: go to Profile → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account, progress, writing and recordings.
• Microphone: you can turn microphone access off at any time in your device or browser settings (Speaking practice will then be unavailable).

Children

The course is intended for learners aged 16 and over. If you are under the age of majority in your province, please use the course with a parent or guardian’s consent.
